How this
program works.

Put your VA benefit to work

A Certificate of Eligibility helps establish your available benefit. Service history, entitlement, and lender underwriting are all part of qualifying.

Eligible zero-down purchases

Lone Star Financing offers VA financing with zero down for eligible borrowers. Entitlement, appraisal, loan amount, and the property can affect the funds needed.

No monthly PMI

VA loans do not require monthly private mortgage insurance. A VA funding fee may apply unless you qualify for an exemption.

Make an informed choice

What to
consider.

  • Zero down does not automatically mean zero cash to close.
  • VA financing is generally for an eligible primary residence.
  • We will review entitlement, the funding fee or exemption, credit, income, and property eligibility.

Common questions

A clearer
starting point.

Can I use a VA loan more than once?

Eligible borrowers may be able to use their benefit again. Available entitlement and any existing VA loans need to be reviewed.

Will I pay mortgage insurance?

VA loans do not require monthly PMI. The funding fee and closing costs are separate items to review.

What if I already have a VA loan?

A VA IRRRL may be an option for an eligible existing VA loan. We can also compare other refinance choices.
